The Oscar-winning actress, who separated from her husband Ryan Phillippelast year, is said to have ended the relationship because she wants to spendmore time with her children.

A source told People magazine, "Reese and Jake just recently broke up. It'stotally and completely over.

"Reese was the one who had to do it. She just got out of a divorce and wasso concerned with her family, she just didn't have the time for him and hereally demanded that.

"They're still friends. Things are fine, but it was a clean break - there'sno chance of getting back together."

Reese and Jake became close after starring in 'Rendition' earlier this year.Although they tried to keep their romance under wraps, the pair were seen"being playful" in Los Angeles restaurant Il Sole in March.

Reese, 31, has two children - Ava, six, and Deacon, three - with Ryan, whoshe met at her 21st birthday party.

Jake, 26, previously dated Kirsten Dunst for nearly three years.
